New Feature: Client Summary Page

On January 25, 2012, in Radius, by Radius

Radius just put the CRM in CRM!

We know what you are thinking, how is that even possible? Well my friend, when your Lead Management + CRM Agency software can allow you to provide your Clients a unique summary page just for their viewing eyes only, that makes it possible.

To Bobs have been hard at work on this one and what better way to start the new year then with a feature that gives you the ability to keep your clients engaged, informed and access to the information you want them to have. The new ‘Client Summary’ Feature within Radius allows Agents and Agencies to send an automated customized email to a client with a link to a password protected login page to view their Client Summary page. The page can include specific information about the Clients Policies that you are the Agent of Record for.

Including on the Client Summary Page:
Carrier
Product Name
Policy ID Number
Effective Date
Renewal Date
Agent & Agency Contact information (Name, Phone, Cell, Email & Address)
Documents – Agents can upload and active documents that are available for download for this particular client such as Annual Notice of Change, Schedule of Benefits, Policy Documentation and more.
Links – Agents can create links to websites that client may find helpful such as their agency website or their carrier’s website.

Overall, we are very excited about this feature is it gives Agents and Agencies a great value add to their Customer Service and Customer Relationship that their competition doesn’t have because they aren’t using Radius.

Lead Temperature Automation & Status Types

On October 21, 2011, in Radius, by Radius

Today we are excited to announce a few new feature updates to Radius Lead Management + CRM Solution for Insurance Agents and Agencies, Lead Temperature Automation and Lead & Client Status Controls. A number of our Agents and Agencies asked and we listened when it came to giving them more configuration options to set up their Radius Account specific to their Agency needs. These two enhancements are the first in line of a list of items we are going to build out to put even more control over Account users to set up their Radius account as they see fit.

Lead Temperature Auotmation
Previously in Radius when a Lead was added, the temperature could be assigned manually (Hot, Warm, Cool or Cold). While defining Leads with a temperature is very handy when identifying the urgency at which a Lead needs to be worked, having to manually change it from Hot to Warm, Warm, to Cool and Cool to Cold can be time consuming. And we have always said that Radius should be where you spend your least amount of time on a daily basis, you need to be out there writing business, not wasting time in your CRM. Now Radius gives Agents the ability to set up Lead Temperature to change Automatically based upon their specific needs. If you consider a lead only ‘Hot’ for 7 Days, then underneath the Settings tab, configure away.

Example:
Hot = 7 Days
Warm = 14 Days
Cool = 30 Days
Cold = All Others

Lead & Client Status Types
With the Lead Temp Automation, we worked on rolling out Status Types for Leads & Clients that can be fully customized by the Agent for their specific Radius Account. While we built in Default Values, we suggest that you customize your Status Types based upon your specific business needs. Create Status Types such as ‘New, Contacted, Being Worked, Emailed, Called, Left Voicemail,’ for your Leads while creating status types for your Clients of ‘In-Force, Contracted, Application Submitted, Underwriting’. Status Types are displayed in multiple areas within Radius and can be sorted and searched by as well.

We know you will enjoy these updates as we have been using them in our own Radius account over the past few days and have found it them very valuable from a user experience.

By the way, did we mention that you can Send Email Campaigns, Drip Marketing Emails and Autoresponders by Status Type? Nice!

Redesigned Tasks & Reminders

On June 5, 2011, in Independent Agent, Radius, by Radius

Radius Lead Management + CRM for Insurance Agents just launched a complete redesign of task management within Radius. While we have always thought Tasks & Reminders worked in it’s former life, it just seemed a bit cumbersome, clunky and definetly user friendly. Since we use Radius every day, we knew we had to take the time to rehash how Agents interacted with Tasks & Reminders.

All Changes:
1. Quick Add Task
2. Edit Task
3. Calendar Date Selector
4. Assign Time to Task
5. Combined Task & Reminders
6. Add Bar Task Lightview
7. Search and Filter Tasks & Reminders by Date, Task or Reminder, Category and Agents

New Friend to the Quicks – Quick Add Task
Quick Note and Quick Edit from the Dashboard, Lead and Client list now have a new friend in the Quick Add Task, located right next to Quick Edit. We reduced the amount of clicks from 4 to 1 to add a task or reminder to any lead or client. This might be the best part about the entire redesign, granted the addition of Edit and Assign Time is welcomed, it is the quick access to creation of a task that wins hands down. The Add Bar was modified as well with the add task lightview box which reduced the clicks and overall experience.

Edit, Calendar Selector and Time Option
Tasks and Reminders are now editable which makes life so much easier then before. Create a Task and if something changes, edit it don’t delete and recreate. We also added a Calendar to chose Day, Month and Year to assign to your task. Visual more appealing and a better overall experience. Finally, assigning a Time to a Task was a big request from our agents, so we made sure to drop it in there.

Search & Filter Tasks and Reminders
The biggest and best part about the redesigned task & reminders rollout is the Search & Filter Tasks option. This is just the icing on the cake when it comes to managing tasks. Being able to sort by Upcoming or Completed, Tasks or Reminder, Category Type or Agent is amazing. Being able to filter by all for is unbelievable.

Filter search could look like this:
Display Upcoming Tasks in Meetings for Agent Smith or Display Upcoming Reminders in Renewal Dates for All Agents

Custom Field Search

On May 27, 2011, in Independent Agent, Insurance, Radius, by Radius

Radius (Lead Management + CRM) rolled out a nice little feature this morning with ‘Custom Field Search’. As you know, Radius is completely customizable in many ways, one being the data form fields that can be added, edited or deleted in any account. Now you can search by those fields under the Lead List and Client List pages. Search for DOB, County, Height, Weight, Company Name, Current Carrier and much much more. Custom Field Search is just one more reason to use Radius to manage your insurance book of business.

15 Day Free Trial & Why

On May 6, 2011, in Marketing, Radius, by Radius

Today Radius (Lead Management + CRM) launched our new website and made an additional change to our Free Trial. Most of you know, some of you don’t that June 1st will be Radius’ one year birthday. Just under 12 months ago we launched Radius for Insurance Agents worldwide (literally we have agents in Canada and Overseas). Since our launch we have given all new accounts a 30 Day Free Trial to make sure that Radius fits your needs, has your wants and honestly makes your ability to sell insurance easier before you purchase. Granted, there are no contracts so investing $24 for a month in the long run can save you money if you chose not to move forward with.

Over the past 11 months we have learned a number of things, we originally launched with a Credit Card being required to start your Free Trial even though nothing was charged until the 31st day. Radius also launched without features such as Email Dropbox, Drip Marketing & Auto Responders, Agency Module and only one type of Product Commission & Renewal Tracking (take the Tour to find out more). And as you now, we launched with our 30 Day Free Trial.

Today Radius has officially introduced the 15 Day Free Trial which has replaced the former 30 Day Free Trial. Why you ask? The short answer is we know our Insurance Agents better, we have learned from them. We have looked at and analyzed the data and we know that most Insurance Agents whom create Free Trial Accounts, know within two weeks whether or not they are going to use Radius to manage their leads and clients. Some agents know within the first login, while others take the full 30 days to do, but most know within 15 days, hence the 15 Day Free Trial.

Free Trial Account Lapse Data (Last Login)

0 Days: 27%
1-5 Days: 37%
5-10 Days: 15%
10-15 Days: 3%
15-30 Days: 18%

Above we have displayed the percentage of Free Trial Lapsed Account’s last logins to to the overall 30 Day period. You’ll notice that just over a quarter of lapsed account holders log in once and never return, while 37% don’t log in after 5 days of the free trial and 15% only login for the first 10 days of the free trial. So in essence, roughly 80% of the Free Trial Lapsed Accounts know within 15 days that they are not going to use Radius. On the otherhand, you’ll notice that 18% actually use the full 30 days to get through the Free Trial but not joining a paid subscription plan. Most likely this 20% is reacting to drip email that mentions that their 30 Day Free Trial is ending which gets them to jump back into their account to muck around some more before deciding not to continue with Radius. The numbers above do validate going to a 10 Day Free Trial, but the 18% whom do jump back into their account for one last look means that we can find a happy medium of 15 Day Free Trial but shortening the length of time between our “Free Trial Ending” email and the Account being locked (Currently 5 Days down to 3 Now).

When Radius went from Credit Card required to No Credit Card required to create a Free Trial account we where pretty much spot on with what would happen; we could go from lower account sign ups with higher conversion to higher account creations with lower conversion. For the 15 Day Free Trial, we predict the same number of fallout within the first 5 days, but what we do expect is a high conversion based upon the smaller window to make a decision. With 30 days, agents have time to put it aside and not focus on it for a few days or weeks, now with the 15 Day Free Trial agents need to take a long hard look at Radius once they get the account created.

As always, we would love to hear your feedback on this topic.

How we use Radius Drip Marketing

On April 27, 2011, in Marketing, Radius, by Radius

Every time we speak to a new agent or agency whom are inquiring about signing up for Radius we always state “We use Radius on a Daily Basis” and now we wanted to show it. We’ll start a series of posts that show how we use Radius (Lead Management + CRM) on a daily basis to run our business, Radius. Each post will give insight into different feature sets within Radius and hopefully give everyone an idea on how they can apply it to their accounts or even better get them to create an account.

Drip Marketing: One of the best features within Radius

Our original approach was to email capabilities built into Radius, you know, an email admin screen, WYSIWYG, To: Field, Subject: Field, From: Field and the rest to send emails via Radius. As we started down that path during the build out, we didn’t like it, scrapped it and went live with out any email functionality. While we knew we would revisit the concept at one point, we wanted to get to market versus taking another 2 to 3 months to figure out what we wanted and build it. First came the Radius Email Drop box then Drip Marketing and Auto Responders.

Radius Dip Marketing gives agents endless possibilities to create single touch campaigns, multi touch campaigns, auto responders based on coverage type, tags or lead temperatures. We use a multi touch format in a three out of the four emails we send to new accounts, as listed below:

Email One – ‘Welcome to Radius’: The first email a new account holder receives from us. While this is the first touch email, it doesn’t come from our Radius account, it comes from Automated Billing Software. It includes Account Information, Helpful Links, Tips & Tricks, Support Information and a few other snippets that you need to see by creating an account.

Email Two – ‘Building Your Radius Account: Day 4′: First, a bit of setup. While we have thousands of leads in our account, we use Radius Tags to signify Leads that are currently in their 30 Day Free Trial. As an account is created, the Lead within Radius is Tagged ‘Free Trial’ which starts the Drip Marketing campaign process. ‘Day 4′ email has the Marketing Plan configuration of; Send to New Lead, Tagged with Free Trial, 4 Days after being entered into the system. We are not big fans of bombarding users with tons of emails right out of the gate, hence the four day interval, but we want to keep them engaged, so we spread them out a bit. The contents of this email speak to a few standard account configurations one can go through to customize their experience within Radius. Setting up Carriers, Products, Commissions, Renewals and Drip Marketing (Take the Tour to see what we are speaking too).

Email Three – ‘Building Your Radius Account: Day 8′: See a theme here? On the eight day we send out an email to the same marketing plan as above which creates our third touch in the process of our drip marketing campaign. While the marketing plan is consistent, the content of this email has changed. Less copy overall in this email, just three lines and a very large image of a ‘video player’ as the approach with this email is to drive usage of our video tutorials.

Email Four – ’30 Day Free Trial Ending Soon’: Soon this will ready 15 Day Free Trial Ending Soon in the subject line, but that is for another post. Once again, the same marketing plan, just different content. While the main goal here is to make the account user aware that the free trial is ending and their billing information needs to be updated to prevent uninterrupted service, we also cover what features have been rolled out in the past thirty days and what features will be rolled out in the next thirty days. This shows that we are continually improving the product right before their very eyes.

So take what we just described above and think about how you might apply it to your Radius account. Maybe you receive leads from mulitple vendors and want to drip market to each vendor’s leads differently. Maybe you use the Radius Lead Capture form on your website and want to create an Auto Responder. Maybe you write both Health & Life Policies, so you need different email templates based on coverage types. Maybe you sell Group Health and their is a longer lead time or each employee joins at their own pace, so a multi touch campaign is required. Any of the possibilities out there can be executed within Radius Drip Marketing and being that there are no limits to the quantity of Templates and Marketing Plans, the options are endless.
