Multi Product Build Out

On February 29, 2012, in Radius, by Radius

As we covered in our ‘New Year, New Features‘ Post back in January, we told everyone they were finally going to get the most requested feature of all time, Multi Products for Leads & Clients…So we thought we would give you the latest update and even a few behind the scenes images of how things are coming along. Over the next few days we’ll continue the build out process and are only a few weeks away (maybe sooner) from launching this New Feature.

Technically there is a lot of behind the scenes code that needs to be modified so we can roll Multi Products out, specifically how we handle Commission & Renewal Calculation. As you know, Radius can calculate commissions & renewals at the product level by lead or client. What this means is that if an agency user has their override structure set up for 50 Products for 20 Agents (which we have a lot of accounts doing this currently), Radius will need to work overtime to when an existing Lead has another product added to it. Not only do we calculate the Agent, Agent Manager, Agency Owner, IMO level which Radius displays each users override, we’ll need to recalculate that when an additional product is added.

Another point of interest in changes will be how Radius uses the new ‘Tab’ structure, how Lead & Client Information needs to be captured and displayed along with Assigned Agent, Status, Temperature (if applicable) and a few more interface scenarios. In the end we are looking to make it as clean and simple as possible when working a Lead or Client within Radius.

Here you see that Radius will bring up the ‘Lead Status’ to fit in nicely with the Commission, Days Touched, Agent and Delete. This will be visible no mater what Tab one is on. And obviously we’ll be adding the Fourth Tab of ‘Products’Radius Multi Product Screen Shot #1

In this image we show the wire frame process that shows the eventual ‘Products’ Tab that shows the ‘Add Product’ button and how the tab will actually work. Once clicking on the Product Tab an Agent will see the existing / original product assigned to the Lead or Client when it was created. We’ll use a Mix of Ajax, jQuery and Rails that will handle the User Experience. The Carrier and Product name will be displayed in the first accordion, then once the Agent clicks the Add Product the screen will show what one typically sees on the Add Lead Screen including, Carrier, Product and Coverage Type. Upon selecting Coverage Type the corresponding Data Fields will be displayed. Populate the information, click Add / Save and a new Carrier & Product Accordion will be displayed along with a refreshed Commission or Renewal Calculation.

We are excited to share this with you and will be even more excited once we launch it….

Tabs, Tabs, Tabs

On February 13, 2012, in Independent Agent, Radius, by Radius

Radius just made Radius that much better with our redesign of the Lead & Client View Pages by adding ‘Tabs’. This enhancement create a much better user experience when working a Lead or Client within the system. New Tabs are ‘Notes, Information & Files’ with more to come in the very short future. To View a Lead or Client’s information before, a user had to click on ‘Edit’ which sent them to another page that was similar to the ‘Add Lead’ Page, but which left a lot to the imagination and a lot of back and forth. Radius Lead Managment & CRM rolled out this feature on Friday and no less then 5 minutes later we had Agent feedback pouring on, all positive of course.
